Build an IELTS plan across all four skills
IELTS reports separate Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking scores. A useful plan therefore tracks each skill separately and spends the next study block on the clearest constraint.
Start with four separate baselines
Use timed Listening and Reading work to identify question-type errors. For Writing and Speaking, review performance against the published criteria instead of relying only on an overall estimate.
Alternate simulation and correction
Exam simulation tests pacing and endurance. Short drills are better for fixing one recurring error. A weekly plan needs both: simulate, diagnose, drill, then re-check.
Use the official criteria
Writing is assessed through task achievement or response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, and grammatical range and accuracy. Speaking uses fluency and coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, and pronunciation.
